A small spreadsheet tool that calculates the IAS corresponding to a given TAS in function of altitude.
Background information: the Vne of a glider decreases in function of the altitude. This is due to the flutter phenomenon. You may find information about the Vne in function of altitude in your glider's manual. As flutter is a primarily related to the True Airspeed, you may be able to determine a TAS matching the profile of the Vne in function of altitude. The "Flutter" spreadsheet allows to determine that TAS.
You can enter both the Vne and the TAS in Menu - Setup - Glider - Config. The GCA will limit the maximum Mc Cready speed to the lower of Vne and TAS.
